Jangly-guitar rock and a biting sense of humour meet in the storytelling songs of Chris Tavener. A theatrical musician with an acerbic wit, Tavener writes his lyrics from the perspective of flawed characters that he draws from 21st century life.

His cynical social commentary, dressed in punchy, guitar-driven rock and acoustic ballads has won him acclaim from BBC 6 Music and multiple BBC Introducing stations. He’s popular for his unique and theatrical live performance that has seen him sharing the stage with Super Hans, Emily Capell, Tony Hadley and Peter Hook of Joy Division while also writing songs for the likes of Sir Ian McKellen. 70f0e36f-8d4c-4103-b0cc-c168c846352b

His debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival came in 2024, with a one-man show entitled ‘Chris Tavener is Faking Cool’. 15 performances in August were met with a slew of four and five star reviews and a string of sold out shows.

The success of the run led to an invitation to support folk songwriter Gaz Brookfield on tour, as well as rock ‘n’ roll legend, John Otway “”An interesting lad with an elastic turn of phrase”Steve Lamacq, BBC 6 Music

“Nice set. Kinks-y vibes”Carl Barat, The Libertines

“The idiosyncratic but ever so loveable Chris Tavener. Try and see him live, he really creates an amazing atmosphere”Mark Radcliffe (BBC Radio 2)

Kelly Cresswell

With songs touching on themes of personal resilience, self-discovery, nostalgia and sentimentality, her music has mass appeal

Known for her candidness as both performer and songwriter; Kelly is never afraid to reveal her vulnerabilities in the hope of inspiring or comforting others with her music, and enjoys composing songs based on her observations of the world and often, to reflect personal life experiences
