We are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Liverpool Acoustic to bring a series of events centered around original songwriting and songwriters!

These sessions will be a great opportunity to listen to truly original music in our beautiful and relaxing setting and hear the songs and stories from those artists.

These sessions combine both Prohibition’s and Liverpool Acoustic’s goal of keeping a base for original live music to be performed by artists and enjoyed by fans in a totally listening environemnt.

Mike Ryan Mike Ryan is an award-winning singer-songwriter and performer from the Wirral. Blending Indie-folk and alt-pop, he has been on a steady rise since the release of his debut single, ‘I’m With You’, which was produced by Bill Ryder-Jones at Yawn Studios.

He has since released five albums to critical acclaim. Calling to mind everything from Elliott Smith and The Beatles to Radiohead and Nirvana, Mike has played throughout Merseyside, including performances at the Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room and Future Yard in Birkenhead.

A two-time winner of the Liverpool Acoustic Song Writing Challenge, winning the Audience Favourite Award in consecutive years, Mike’s new single The Lemon Trees by the Sea is out now on 471 Records.

Igloo Hearts Igloo Hearts are a folk-pop duo from North Wales, known for cinematic piano, rich harmonies, and emotionally charged songwriting.

Blending classical and acoustic textures, they’ve drawn comparisons to Jesca Hoop and Radiohead. Live highlights include supports for Cerys Hafana, Michele Stodart (The Magic Numbers), and BBC Radio’s Mark Radcliffe.

Backed by BBC Introducing, their debut album ‘Eyes Closed Against the Sun’ is already earning praise for its haunting depth.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances.

Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable.

We politely ask all guests to arrive within 30 minuites of the door opening time to ensure performances are not disturbed. Once performances start, our doors will be closed.
