About the gig
Following sold-out shows in Liverpool and Glasgow in 2024 and 2025, self-confessed Aztec Camera superfan Paul Hagan performs two nights celebrating the songs of Roddy Frame and his 40-year songwriting career.
Drawing from all ten of Roddy Frame’s studio albums, from Aztec Camera’s classic debut High Land, Hard Rain to his most recent solo release Seven Dials, the set features hit singles including Somewhere in My Heart, Oblivious, Walk Out to Winter and Good Morning Britain, alongside deeper cuts and fan favourites such as Small World, Reason for Living, Stray and Killermont Street.
All songs are performed in the solo acoustic style Roddy Frame has used in recent years, and both events will feature a similar setlist.
About Paul
Liverpool-based musician Paul Hagan has been performing around the UK for over 20 years. He is best known as a former member of local favourites Amsterdam, contributing to the albums The Journey, 1-2-3-4 and Home.
During his time with the band, Paul performed live on BBC Radio 2, recorded a collaboration with Elvis Costello, and played iconic venues including Abbey Road Studios, Glastonbury Festival and Liverpool’s M&S Arena.
Paul regularly collaborates with Scottish musician Neil “Mackie” Macintosh, performing with his power-pop band Ariel and working together on Mackie’s solo LP Needless Road. The pair are putting the finishing touches to a 90s-inspired album with legendary engineer Nick Brine (Oasis, The Stone Roses, Super Furry Animals).
He is also a member of Liverpool band The Last Gambados, whose recent album Start Out Where You Stand is available on Spotify.
