Jon Keats, Paul Novak & SATCH – Live at Prohibition Recording Studios

A songwriter’s night featuring three local artists, with all songs firmly rooted in acoustic, folk, country, americana and the art of truth! They are all related as well, so it makes a nice change from the yearly Christmas drinks family gathering!!

JON KEATS

Jon returns to Prohibition with the other John on double bass, performing new material as well as tracks from his last album, “Any Man Would Do the Same”.

A second album recorded in Memphis, Nashville and a barn in Lancashire will follow soon!

Jon’s songs are pure Americana with melodic story telling at the heart of them all.

PAUL NOVAK

Birkenhead based singer-songwriter Paul Nowak sings songs about love, politics and cowboys.

By day, he has a sideline as the general secretary of the TUC, speaking up for 5.3m union members across Britain. Paul’s debut EP ‘Cowboy Songs’ follow up ‘People Like You’ are available on Spotify and Bandcamp.

SATCH

SATCH is the new project by Harry Robinson who has been writing and performing since the age of 13, racking up some great tours and supports along the way.

Recent shows include opening for the likes of Cast, Michael Head, Stone and Status Quo to name but a few.

Harry brings a depth of writing to his songs above and beyond his years, both lyrically and musically.

Consider this your chance, as a fan, to come hear the artist you love perform in an intimate, inner-city studio environment and also discover new, similar and fantastic musicians.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance. Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances. Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event. We thank you for helping us to create a listening environment and respecting the artists.

No under 18s allowed.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable.

We politely ask all guests to arrive within 45 minuites of the door opening time to ensure performances are not disturbed. Once performances start, our doors will be closed.
