A Drink With Only Child returns to Prohibition Recording Studios for the third time!

Playing to packed houses previously, acclaimed singer/songwriter Alan O’Hare and producer/guitarist Jon Lawton are back this summer for another round of songs, stories… and drinks!

Expect laughter and tears as they take you through the songs from Only Child’s back catalogue and 2026’s new EP.

Al and Jon will be accompanied by acoustic and electric guitars, alongside their close harmonies and trademark banter.

Special Guest: Marc Vormawah

Marc Vormawah has recorded for Stiff as lead singer with Personal Column and released solo album Too True on Elektra in 1989.

One of the city’s best-loved singers, Vormawah followed up the Peel sessions and Stiff Records’ singles of Personal Column with a move to America and a solo album filled with righteous funk and soul and Vormawah made his mark on radio stations across the States.

Now he’s returned to his singer/songwriter roots and has been making music in the classic Joni Mitchell/Paul Simon vein, with his trademark biting lyrics and soulful singing.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances.

Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable for any reason.

We politely ask all guests to arrive within 30 minuites of the door opening time to ensure performances are not disturbed. Once performances start, our doors will be closed.

Ticket sales end at 17:00 on the day of the event – No tickets will be available on the door unless specified by Prohibition Recording Studios.
