Drawing comparisons to James Taylor, Paul Simon and The Divine Comedy, Ed blends folk, jazz and roots with a dry, self-deprecating wit and a gift for turning everyday moments into quietly profound songs.

His work has received BBC radio support and critical praise for its lyrical depth and melodic craft.

An accomplished live performer, Ed has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, appearing at festivals including Black Deer, FolkEast and Manchester Folk Festival, and supporting artists such as David Ford, Reg Meuross and Annie Dressner.

His live shows are intimate, story-led evenings full of humour, honesty and musicianship — the kind of night that feels like catching up with an old friend.

Born in the South East and adopted by the North West, “exciting new talent” (Americana UK) Jessica Dives is an up-and-coming folk singer-songwriter with a “welcome vibrancy” (FATEA).

For Jessica, storytelling is paramount. Her fascination with people and their stories guides her writing, and with a background in theatre, she brings a natural confidence and captivating presence to her performances.

She delights and hypnotises with “heartfelt and earnest storytelling” (Americana UK) and catchy, soaring melodies, delivered with a striking vocal quality that has drawn comparisons to Eddi Reader and Sarah Harmer.

Her blend of personal and traditional folklore, often exploring the intersection of the natural and emotional world, creates songs that linger long after listening.

Jessica is the winner of the Lichfield Songwriting Competition 2025 and Liverpool Songwriting Challenge 2024, has received BBC radio play, and has supported artists including Katie Spencer, Megson, and Kathryn Williams. She was also a featured artist in the FATEA Spring 2025 Showcase and shortlisted for the Purbeck Valley Rising 2025 competition.

This is a unique gig experience that puts you at the heart of the artist’s performance.

Due to this we have a minimal talking/phone use policy during performances. Any unnecessary noise during performances will result in you being asked to leave the event.

We thank you for helping us to create a listening environment and respecting the artists.

No under 18s allowed.

Doors open at 19:00 and the show starts shortly after. We politely ask all guests to arrive within 30 minuites of the door opening time to ensure performances are not disturbed. Once performances start, our doors will be closed.

A large proportion of the revenue raised from ticket sales is returned to the artists as payment for their talent and musicianship.

Prohibition Recording Studios prides itself in having musical integrity on behalf of ourselves and the artists.

Tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and are non-refundable for any reason.
