Tim Bowness is primarily known as vocalist/co-writer with no-man, a long-running collaboration with Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree etc).

In addition to releasing seven studio albums and a documentary DVD with no-man, Tim has worked with popular Italian artist Alice (on the Top 20 hit Viaggio In Italia), Mercury Prize nominated Banco De Gaia, Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Peter Hammill, Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera and many others.

Tim recorded the album Flame (1994) with Richard Barbieri (Japan), and co-produced/co-wrote Talking With Strangers (2009) for Judy Dyble (Fairport Convention). He has also regularly collaborated with Peter Chilvers (Brian Eno/Karl Hyde).

Bowness’s critically acclaimed solo releases on InsideOutMusic/Sony have featured in the official UK Top 5 Rock and Vinyl charts, and the official Scottish charts.

Since 2001, Tim has co-run the specialist online label/store Burning Shed with Pete Morgan.
