About The Events

The Wordsmith – Exploring the finest local poets, musicians and writers!

Episode One – Clean Cut Kid +// Thom Morecroft, Lyndsay Price, Paddy Clark, Pixey!

“The Wordsmith is unique in it’s approach, recently labelled “ahead of the curve” and often likened to Sofar Sounds in its exclusive and intimate nature. Our events are limited to only 6 per year and carefully curated with a mixture of established, highly expressive and unique lyricists, poets and wordsmiths. This event focuses on not only performance, but discussing the lyrics, poetry and true voice/story behind the artist’s work”.

The events are hosted within Liverpool’s Prohibition Recording Studios in an interactive Q&A style conversation. The audience is given the opportunity to ask questions to the artists whilst reading along with the included booklet, noting specific details and lyrics within the artists talented work.

Each event is stripped back, acoustic and intimate with guests provided with a “wordsmith booklet” showcasing the lyrics and poetry of the specific line-up. The audience can read along, highlight and ask questions directly to the performers.
